Newborn kidnapped from hospital in Kerala

A three-day baby was kidnapped from Kozhenchery District Hospital in Pathanamthitta. The infant belong to Saji and Anitha, a couple hailing from Ranni.
The incident took place at 11 am when Anitha was taken to operation theatre for birth control surgery. The newborn was with the parents of Anitha. A woman went to them and demanded the kid under the pretext of feeding it. The woman and the baby has gone missing after that.
The grandparents of the child said the lady was about 30-years-old and had developed a good rapport with them saying she is a well-wisher of Saji, the father of the child, who is working as a pastor.
Based on a complaint, police verified the surveillance camera of the hospital and found visuals of the woman fleeing with the baby.
"We have launched an investigation and has launched an intensive search for the child. Our initial plan is to trace the child and then investigate into other factors like whether abductor had any supporters. We got some information that some one had spotted the woman and baby in Pathanamthitta, Kozhencherry Sub-inspector said.
