Movie co-producer brutally kills 28-year-old crew member, injures three

Synopsis

Co-producer of the yet-to-be-released Kannada movie Danger Zone has allegedly killed a crew member The incident occurred following an argument over TV distribution rights of the film Manoj died on the spot, and three others were injured, accused, and his accomplices are at large

 

An argument which started over the distribution of the film Danger Zone ended in a tragic way as the angry co-producer with this accomplices killed a crew member on Friday at Someshwarnagar in Bengaluru.

 

Manoj, a crew member of the yet-to-be-release movie Danger Zone, was killed by Ramu, the co-producer of the movie. The injured have been identified as Swaroop, Gopi and Kamal.

 

According to the police, the incident occurred at 2.30 am on Friday at Swagath Camp’s office premises owned by Swaroop, one of the injured persons in the incident. Ramu is said to have barged inside the office when Manoj, Swaroop, Kamala and Gopi were having a drink on Thursday night and started quarrelling with them about the distribution rights of the movie to TV.

 

As Swaroop is also one of the co-producers of the movie, he started arguing with Ramu. What followed this was quick and tragic. Ramu called five of his accomplices who arrived with lethal weapons and attacked all the four.

 

Manoj, an employee of Swaroop, was severely injured and died on the spot. The other three were rushed to the spot and are being treated.

 

A case in this regard has been filed by the Mahalakshmi Layout police, who are investigating the matter. Currently, Ramu and his accomplices are missing, and the police have formed a special team to find the accused.
