Migrant pregnant woman labourer thrashed for asking salary dues

In a shocking incident a migrant pregnant woman labourer was beaten up by the manager of a seafood exports company in Aroor industrial area for asking her salary dues.
The woman has filed a police complaint against Rubiyan Exports. The unidentified woman is three months pregnant.
According to the labourers the management had not paid their salaries for past couple of months and when they demanded for the pending salary the workers were physically assaulted.
The company has mainly employed labourers from Odisha and West Bengal here. Police have not charged a complaint against the company. The management has informed that they have negotiated and sorted out the issues with the workers.
