Martyrs Subedar Hasansab, Sepoy Basappa Patil laid to rest

Soldier Basappa Patil’s last rites took place at his hometown Nabapur village in Belagavi district. The martyr’s body was taken in a procession, before the last rites.

Army officials, Deputy Commissioner N Jayaram and residents of the village took part in the funeral. His family members were inconsolable.

Another soldier from Saidapur village in Dharwad, Hasansab’s funeral also took place amidst state honours. His last rites were carried out according to Islamic rites.

Hasansab had joined Indian Army in 2013. He joined the Madras Regiment and had served in Odisha for 18 months. He was posted in Siachen in Kashmir in 2015.
