Historic Bengaluru Karaga begins tomorrow Jnanendra will carry the Karaga for the seventh time Procession will begin at 12.30 am
He will carry 'Hoovina Karaga' a secret sacred pot decked up in jasmine flowers through the thoroughfares of the city. At 12.30 am, Jnanedra will carry the Karaga from Dharmarayaswami temple and visit various temples in Halasurpet, Nagrathpet, Siddannagalli, Cubbonpet, Doddpet, KR Market before converging at Dharmarayaswami temple.
While Jnanendra carries 'Hoovina Karaga', he will be guarded by sword-brandishing Veerakumaras. These Veerakumaras are chosen by the community heads to participate in the Karaga.
Dharamarayaswami temple where the Karaga festivities are being held is decked up for the occasion.
