Malyalam actress assault: Angry film industry offers support

A popular Kerala film industry was molested near the Kochi International Airport on Friday. Police have arrested seven people so far in this case.
The shocking incident of the popular Kerala film industry actress getting molested near the Kochi International Airport has left the who’s who of the same film fraternity stunned. The incident happened on Friday night and the Police have arrested seven people so far.
The actress has also filed a rape case against her driver, who has been alleged of kidnapping and molesting her with few other men. Apparently, this is not the first time that her driver has been involved in something of this sort.
However, the Police have also confirmed that the actress is at home and is currently doing fine.
This is what the famous actors and directors, who have worked with her, had to say about the sad incident:
Sudeep (actor) - “Only a woman can understand what she must have gone through. If it is true that Bhavana was sexually assaulted, and if that is proven, then the accused should be killed for putting a person through this. They should be shot. By committing such an act, they have shown that they don't even respect their mother — a woman to who they were born. This isn't just about Bhavana, but about every woman. Taking advantage of a woman's physical weakness is not being a man. Men throughout history have taken a stand, which is why they deserve to be called men. I am very angry right now. As men, we don't know what a woman goes through in such times, but we can and must try to understand her pain.”
Shashank (filmmaker) - This is very shocking. The fear is that if this can happen to a celebrity, then what about the common man? I don't know the details, but it seems to be personal vengeance in play. Bhavana is a very good girl, and it's unfortunate that something like this happened to her. I have seen many heroines, and no one is as well behaved as Bhavana. She is innocent, and it is hard to believe that someone could have a personal grudge against her. She's not the kind of a person to hurt anyone.
PC Shekhar (filmmaker) - This seems like a case of harassment. Bhavana is the kind of girl who interacts with everyone; she doesn't avoid calls from anyone, even if it is a fan. The best thing about her is that she treats everyone equally, and someone may have taken advantage of that. This is saddening.
MG Srinivas (filmmaker) - This is quite shocking. I have been trying to get in touch with Bhavana; I can't even imagine what state she must be in. She is a very sweet person and has no enmity with anyone. She always helps those in need and has never troubled anyone on the set of a film. This is a cheap act.
