Malayalee soldier found dead in army camp in Chhattisgarh

Synopsis

Biju Kumar, a senior head constable with the 204 battalion Cobra unit of the CRPF reportedly shot himself at around 2 pm on Friday

 

A Malayalee head constable with the Cobra wing of CRPF allegedly committed suicide in the Army camp in Chhattisgarh on Friday by shooting self. The deceased is identified as CR Biju Kumar,42, from Venganur in Thiruvananthapuram.
 

Biju Kumar, a senior head constable with the 204 battalion Cobra unit of the CRPF reportedly shot himself at around 2 pm on Friday using his service revolver at the army camp in Jagadalpur in Bastar district.
 

The soldier with the special Cobra team entrusted with anti-Maoist operations was about to retire from the CRPF in May this year. He had talked to his wife Saritha an hour before the incident, reports said quoting family members. Biju Kumar is survived by his wife and two children.
