WhatsApp kills Tollywood comedian Senthil Kumar twice in a month
Synopsis
A veteran of some 500 films, Senthil was active in campaigning for AIADMK in the recent Assembly elections when messages on his demise began doing the rounds on WhatsApp. The first time Senthil heard the rumours, he took in his stride. But apparently the second time was one time too many for the comedian.
It was weird that people were calling me and asking if I was alive. It is not funny, Senthil told media persons.
Senthil has said that he suspects "another party, which did not win the elections, was trying to defame him."
Senthil has filed a complaint with the City Police Commissioner. He has sought action against the person who has been spreading such rumours on WhatsApp.
