Diary Exposé: CM Siddaramaiah steps out of house, visits temple and hurries back home

Synopsis

A diary allegedly listing Karnataka's 'donations' to the Congress high command has been leaked The diary was reportedly found in MLC Govindaraju’s home during an IT raid CM Siddaramaiah who had refused to meet anyone made a quick visit to a temple and hurried back home without speaking to media

Siddaramaiah travelled in his Audi car without any security vehicles accompanying him to the Male Mahadeshwara Hills temple at Chamarajanagar, which is about 200 km from his official house in Bengaluru.

Following the dramatic leak of a diary that alleges that vast sums of money were given to the Congress high command, the CM  had refused to meet anyone, preferring the isolation of his home. Congress party leaders were sent away from the gate of the CM's house itself and so far, no one has been allowed inside.

The diary expose’ has raised questions not only about the credibility of MLC Govindaraju, but also CM Siddaramaiah.

K Govindaraju, whose diary it is alleged to be, is not only an MLC but also a Parliamentary Secretary in Siddaramaiah’s Cabinet. Sources said that he was made the secretary amidst opposition of the party members.

The diary was allegedly found by Income Tax Department officials inside the house of MLC Govindaraju during an IT raid. But Govindaraju has rubbished this and said he has no clue about the diary.

However, so far there has been no confirmation about the credibility of the diary from the IT Department. Currently, Govindaraju is in Delhi. Govindaraju spoke to Suvarna News and said that he has not committed any mistake. The party is expected to have a press conference this evening.
