Kammanahalli molestation victim refuses to cooperate with the police

The incident happened on New Year’s eve was caught on a CCTV camera. The victim needs to identify the accused for which she is denying cooperation.

This New Year began with alleged mass molestation incidents in Bengaluru, and the most shocking incident came to light when a video capture through a CCTV camera in Kammanahalli made its way to the media.

This kammanahalli incident gathered nationwide attention and brought a bad name to Bengaluru city.

Many feminist organizations and human rights activists protested against these incidents and demanded the state government take strict action against the culprits.

 

However, after almost a month now the victim of Kammanahalli incident herself is not ready to cooperate with the police to bring the accused to book.

 

Recently, the cops asked her to come to the station for identification parade for which she is not cooperating. She had sent ‘do not disturb me’ message when the cops called on her mobile phone.

 

The alleged north-eastern girl was returning to her home after the New Year celebration on December 31, 2016, night when this incident happened. At that time two miscreants came in a scooter and assaulted her violently.

 

The police arrested six accused based on the CCTV footages. However, the case can be continued only after the identification of the accused by the victim girl.
