I find peace from Kabali frenzy in my toilet: Kannada activist Vatal

Synopsis

Kannada activist and politician Vatal Nagaraj is not happy with Kannadigas who have gone gaga over the Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali.

The activist said, "“Kannada cinema and organisations should remember that other regional languages are dominating the Kannada culture. It is high time for Kannadigas to fight for the cause of Kannada.”

In a bid to express his anger over the Kabali frenzy, Vatal has been staging a protest near Mysore Bank circle in Bengaluru.

In the press meet held on Thursday, he questioned, “Has Kannada cinema benefited from Rajinikanth? Then why is our film industry encouraging non-Kannadiga actors? If movie-lovers in Karnataka are crazy about the superstar then ask him to act in Kannada movies. People are putting up Kabali posters in Karnataka and turning Bengaluru into Chennai."

He added, "Everywhere I go, people are only talking about Kabali and wasting thousands of money for its promotion. The only place I can be free from this madness is in my toilet."

Nagaraj has demanded the distributors to screen the movie for ₹100 and has also urged the state government to ban other regional movies in Karnataka.

Vatal Nagaraj is intending to meet with representatives of the Kannada film industry at the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce on Saturday.
