Kerala to get showers after 4 days of punishing heat

Synopsis

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that the heat wave phenomena would continue in Kerala for next four days and people must take necessary precautions.

Though the department has particularly alerted Palakkad and Kozhikode, the warning is issued for the entire state and advised people to take necessary precautions while going out between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

IMD has predicted that some regions might get summer showers by May 2 and also forecast heavy rain at isolated places on May 3.

The Southern districts of the state will start receiving heavy rain from May 6 onwards.
