17-year-old girl killed in bike accident, friend flees scene

A 17-year-old PU student riding pillion fell down from a bike and was run over by a speeding canter on Thursday after her friend lost control of the bike.
The deceased has been identified as Shiny Kiran K, a resident of Ulsoor. She was studying in 12th standard in RJS College, Koramangala. The biker, however, fled from the spot with minor injuries. The locals rushed to the spot and took Shiny immediately to the nearby hospital where the doctors declared that she was brought dead.
Indiranagar Traffic police are now extracting footages from CCTV cameras installed around the spot and are searching for the bike rider and the canter driver.
