Elizabeth Vattakkunnel, in her Facebook post, described the details of the torture he underwent at the convent.

The woman, hailing from Wayanad, said that she was an inmate of the convent in 1999, while she was studying in the fifth standard, as her house was far away from the school. She described the details of the brutal attack unleashed by a nun named Sister Lucy.

"There were 30 girls in the convent. We had to wake up at 5 am and perform household chores including cleaning and washing and were not even given enough food. The nun used to thrash girls for silly reasons like eating a banana without seeking her permission. She used to beat the girls with an oiled cane in a dark room till blood oozed from their body," she said.

Vattakkunnel says she was picked up by Sister Lucy for keeping a ₹10 note in her bag. "We were not allowed to keep money in our bags. I had one ₹10 note which my father had given to buy snacks. Sisters used to check our bags at frequent intervals, and during one such checking, they found the note. Sister Lucy took me to the dark room and asked me to remove my dress except for undergarments. She beat me up till the wounds started to bleed. I was taken to our room by two roommates and I could barely walk," she revealed.

As she fell sick after the incident, her father was called for, and teachers advised him. "On reaching home, my mother saw the marks on my body and informed my dad about it. Though he went to the convent, the sister was transferred to some other place," she said in the post.

She also states that she does not hold any grudge against anyone and just wanted to share the bitter experience she suffered at the convent.
