  • The pachyderm is refusing to eat even ragi, sugarcane and leaves of Banyan tree
  • Elephant Sidda is not responding to doctors treatment
  • Infection is spreading through the body, say vets

Sidda had entrenched itself in a dam around 30 km from Bengaluru and is currently going blind on its left eye too, and infection is spreading through its right leg.

It is currently not responding to any treatment and doctors themselves have expressed concern over its health condition.

Though the pachyderm is being fed with ragi, sugarcane and leaves of Banyan tree, it is spitting out everything, making all efforts to make it stand fail.

Meanwhile, people of Avverahalli are visiting Sidda and performing poojas for its wellbeing. As the flow of people coming to watch the elephant has increased considerably, the forest officials have banned people from coming inside.

Sidda had a broken leg when he was found in a dam 64 days ago.
