Drunken driving claims four lives at Thiruvananthapuram

Synopsis

 
The accident occurred around 8.30 pm on Kanjiramattam-Poovar road. The driver and commuters of the jeep were reportedly in an inebriated state. The deceased are identified as Shashi, 45, Rajendran, 48, Baby, 55 and an unidentified person. 

 

The police said that the jeep lost control causing a chain of accidents. It first rammed into a motorbike and then smashed another one before hitting an autorickshaw, killing two travellers in the vehicle.  The fourth victim, a bike rider, is yet to be identified.
