Youth arrested for selling drugs on Whatsapp group

Excise special squad arrested a youth for allegedly running a drug dealing ring on Whatsapp group.
Badusha Shahul, 19, a native of Karapuzha, landed in police net after investigators kept a close watch over his activities for days. They have also recovered a cache of drugs and a device used for smoking from Shahul. The arrest followed complaints that drug use has been rampant among college students in the locality.
Special Squad Circle Inspector S Swaminathan said that Shahul frequently went to Tamil Nadu in the pretence of excursions and bought contraband which he sells to youth and students. He used the Whatsapp group to find customers and peddle drugs.
