'Depressed' government officer collapses in front of CM's office

Synopsis

On his way to redress a problem, Karnataka Education Service (KES) officer Mohan collapsed in front of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's office in Vidhana Soudha on Thursday.

JDS leader and former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy accused the Siddaramaiah government of keeping the incident under wraps.

The JDS leader claimed that Mohan was "secretly" admitted to Bowring Hospital where he is undergoing treatment and also none of Mohan's family members were not allowed to visit him at the hospital.

Kumaraswamy claimed that the officer had paid a bribe of ₹3 lakh for getting transferred to a location of his preference but things didn't work out in Mohan's favour. Mohan was on his way to meet the CM when he collapsed in front of Siddaramaiah's office.

"The CM should intervene in this matter and give a statement," Kumaraswamy prevailed.
