Deaf and mute woman brutally raped in Thrissur
Synopsis
A 38-year-old deaf and mute woman was raped by an unidentified person in Thriprayaar near Thrissur.
Police say the incident took place on Friday evening. Tthe victim's mother returned home and found her helpless daughter lying in a pool of blood.
The woman was immediately rushed to hospital where the rape was confirmed by the doctors.
Police say the miscreant who seems to have been familiar with the surroundings might have trespassed into the house.
The police are now on the lookout for the victim's neighbour who is wanted in many other petty cases.
