Cyclone Nada drenches Chennai, showers in Bengaluru

Heavy rain is expected at Cuddalore in the early hours of Friday
Currently, the cyclone is about 200 km away from Chennai
Bengaluru also might experience moderate to heavy rain on Friday

The Nada weakened into a deep depression by the time it reached Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Heavy rain is expected at Cuddalore on Friday morning, said the statement from Meteorological Department. It also said that the depression is not effective to be called a cyclone.
