“Congress party leader and influential builder Prabhakar Reddy had got my father Ramaiah abducted and wrongfully confined him and forcibly documented 25 gunta of our land into former’s name by victimizing my father” accused B R Bharati, daughter of Ramaiah.
Addressing media on Wednesday, she said: "On 4 August, around 12.30 pm, seven to eight unknown people had abducted my father. After allegedly threatening my him with dire consequences, he was taken to Sub Registrar office situated at BTM layout and got our 25 gunta of land, coming under survey number 278/3 into their name, after duly getting documentation done as well."
"They got my father’s signature affixed on several blank stamp papers and sold the 25 gunta of land to a third party in a hurry," she alleged.
She claimed that the third party who is said to have taken possession of their land unlawfully has started with some construction work in the said land. Having come to know about it, some local people duly informed them.
They immediately brought this to the notice of local police and registered a complaint with Electronic City police station.
Landowner, Ramaiah said ‘I was abducted on 4 August and threatening me with dire consequences, Prabhakar Reddy had forcefully taken possession of our lands and even got it documented in his name, besides getting my signature on blank stamp papers.’
"After being escorted to Sub Registrar’s office and being held in captivity, I was unable to talk about abduction matter there, as I was warned in the car, not to do so," said Ramaiah.
He said, the office staff also did not question him. Overall, the documentation was done without my consent.
