Cleanest city twice in a row: Mysuru wins 'clean' tag again

Synopsis

Mysuru has won the Swachh city tag as it finds the top place in the list released by the Science and Environment Centre for this year. The city figures with Alapuza and Panaji in the list.

These three cities have been declared the cleanest cities based on solid waste management.

Last year, it was a surprise when Mysuru was listed numero uno in the Swachh city list under the Swachh Bharat campaign. However, this time, it has successfully retained the top spot through cleanliness.

Recently, Mysuru was the talk of the town due to the royal wedding of Yaduveer and Trishika, the throne-holder of the former Mysore kingdom.

It is good to see Mysuru prove that it is not only the city of palaces and history but can make news even in current times with current issues.
