In a day of hectic meetings, the Karnataka state Cabinet had consultations in the morning, and the CM will now head an all-party meet in the state capital. But Opposition leader Jagadish Shettar has decided not to take part in the meet.
Though Karnataka is facing a crisis-like situation, parties are still apparently keen on playing the blame-game.
"In the last meeting held regarding the same issue, the government had not considered our opinion of not releasing water. So giving any advice to this government is of no use," BJP leaders told Suvarna.
Meanwhile, Jagadish Shettar will shortly be in New Delhi.
“It is better to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak on the matter than advising the state government,” said disappointed BJP leaders in Karnataka.
