Caught on cam: Woman thrashes Excise inspector

The woman, whose identity has not been revealed, had been booked earlier by Excise officer Vasanthkumar for selling alcohol illegally.

The woman’s house in Kanakapur, Bengaluru,  was also raided a couple of times for the same offence, and a penalty was imposed on her.

Following this, the woman claimed that she had ceased the illegal business.

But she accused officers of continuing to harass her. She alleged that inspector Vasanthkumar took advantage of the situation and used to visit her house at night, claiming that he asked her for sexual favours.

The woman, living with her sons, led him enter the house and decided to tackle him, along with her sons.

Vasanthkumar, who appeared to be in an inebriated state in the video, starts referring to the woman as 'Amma' (mother) when her sons come forward and assault him.

The family has sent the video to the Excise Commissioner, Joint Commissioner and all the higher officers in the Excise department.

Following this, a probe has been held, and the accused Vasanthkumar has been transferred.
