Bellary: Police yet to arrest Congress leader’s brother for raping minor

Over two months back, the local police in Bellary registered a rape case against Rohit, the brother of Congress leader Ekambaresh, who allegedly abducted a minor girl from some hutments in Mariyammanahalli and then allegedly raped her behind a college.

The family of the victim even claimed that the accused later barged into their house and threatened them for filing a police complaint. Fearing for their lives, the victim and her family has now approached the Superintendent of Bellary.

The local police in the meantime, have said that they have been unable to trace the accused as he is absconding.
