BBMP threatens to dump garbage inside Intel campus

Every year, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) comes out with the weirdest ideas to collect taxes. Last year, it led a procession in front of companies with a marching band.
Recently, it confiscated the entire premises of Manyata Tech Park as it had not paid taxes despite a court order.
Yesterday, the BBMP officers brought garbage lorries and threatened Intel's offices in Bellanduru that it would unload the garbage inside the premises if the company did not pay its taxes.
As per Rule 26 & 27, Section 14 of the KMC Act, BBMP had served a prior notice to the company. But yesterday, BBMP officers came with garbage lorries as the company did not even respond to the earlier notice.
However, the trucks turned back once Intel produced a court order which allowed them to pay at least 50% of the imposed penalty.
