Party workers from Socialist Democratic Party of India (SDPI) are conducting an event on Friday at the Town Hall in Bengaluru to support Muslims and spread awareness about the discrimination that the community is subjected to on a daily basis.

It was just a couple of days ago when the party had conducted a campaign for the empowerment of Muslims in India at Tippu Nagar in Chamarajpet which is a highly Muslim dominated area in the city.

This campaign irked other communities resulting in a fight between the party workers and the residents leaving many injured. Both the parties then registered a complaint against each other and the police eventually arrested 12 people in connection with the case.
