Agni Sridhar lashes out at media which portrayed him as rowdy
Synopsis
I am humiliated by sick minded people, says Agni Sridhar on referring to him as rowdy Agni Sridhar grows opium on the terrace of his house. His friend had a habit of collecting rare liquors.
He held a press meet at his residence on February 12, and explained in detail about the developments following the police raid.
He said the reports that he collapsed following a slap by police was false. However he also said that some cop hit hard on his collar from behind which enraged him. He told that he cried not because police hit him but he as the police made false allegations on his connections with accused in the Kadabagere Sreenivas’s shootout case, Sunil and Rohit.
He told that the allegations of the police were baseless and clarified that he was not involved in any illegal activity. He said that his life is an open book.
Responding to the allegations of possessing liquor illegally, he told that he and his friend Bacchan had quit drinking long ago. The imported liquors found in his house were gifts from friends and well-wishers. Besides, he told that Bacchan had the habit of collecting rare liquor bottles.
He told that he smokes Ganja and also agreed that he’s growing it on his terrace for the personal use. “The law permits it but puts a limit on growing Ganja at home. I am growing it in compliance with the law” Sridhar said.
Followed by the police raid, some media reports questioned his credibility as a journalist. Referring to this he said that he will file a defamation case against the media which referred to him as ‘rowdy under the guise of progressive thinker’ and demand ₹ 1 relief. “I want to teach them a lesson” he added.
Responding to the media on shootout on Kadabagere Sreenivas, he said that his associate Sunil is innocent. He said that he spoke to Sunil got a clarification from him. Sridhar also said that he will keep a distance from Sunil, if the allegation against him is proved.
