Music band thrashed at Bengaluru mall for not singing Kannada songs

Bengaluru: Members of a music band were thrashed for not singing Kannada songs at Phoenix Marketcity, Whitefield, Bengaluru. The band members slammed the mall authorities on Facebook by claiming that the mall officials failed to take action against the miscreants.
According to reports, the mall authorities claimed that they had taken complete care on the safety of artistes, but had not spoken to the police in this regard.
Guitarist Anubhav, one of the band members of 'Musication', suffered severe injuries on his left eye while the miscreants maltreated others.
Speaking to media, jurisdictional Mahadevapura Police claimed that they had not received any such complaints from the band or the mall authorities regarding the incident.
"There is a Facebook post in this regard. If any of the band members or the mall authorities file a complaint, we will initiate action against the culprits," police said.
On August 2, the band members were packing their instruments after their performance when two drunk men who appeared from nowhere and demanded them to sing Kannada songs.
The band members tried to inform the two by saying that the instruments were being packed, the miscreants were in no mood to listen to their claims.
Reacting to this, the duo took the mike and began to thrash the band members. As the mall authorities tried to intervene, several people began to record the incident on their mobile phones.
