New ₹2000, ₹500 notes to be available in ATMs from Friday
The currency notes of ₹2,000 denominations will be available in the ATMs on Friday for transactions said the finance secretary.
Common people are inconvenienced by the sudden move of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of scrapping the ₹500 and ₹1,000 notes from today. Not to make it difficult for the people, the government has made provision for people to withdraw money from the ATMs and banks, he said.
New currency bills are currently being printed and will be sent to banks soon, he said
