UAE offers visa on arrival to Indians under one condition

The UAE cabinet approved a decree to offer visa on arrival to Indians under one condition. The validity of this visa on arrival will be for 14 days, and a single extension is available for a fee.

Recently, the UAE cabinet approved a decree to offer visa on arrival to Indians under one condition; the Indian passport holder must have a valid US visa or a Green Card. The cabinet announced this on March 29.

As per this new rule, the Indian passport holder with US visa or Green Card having a validity of minimum six months can enter UAE from any point. 

The validity of this visa on arrival will be for 14 days, and a single extension is available for a fee. This change of visa policy for Indians is for encouraging UAE-India relations in politics, economics, and trade. Also, it will give a push to UAE’s efforts to promote itself as a destination for global tourism.

India happens to be the second largest trade partner of UAE that values US₹60 billion a year. India invests about $70 billion in UAE through 45,000 Indian companies and UAE spends almost $10 billion in various sectors including service, energy, technology, construction in India.

On a daily basis, there are around 143 flights between different cities in these two countries. Last year, UAE hosted approximately 1.6 million Indian tourists, and India received around 50,000 visitors from UAE.
