Did you know there is a Kashmir Super League in Dubai?

Synopsis

Kashmir Super League has 224 Kashmiri expats playing every year in Dubai. This tournament is creating opportunities for Kashmiri visitors in Emirates as well.

There are several cricket leagues like the Indian Premier League across the globe organised every year. But you will be surprised to know that 224 Kashmiri expats self-sponsor a Kasmhir Super League in Dubai every year.

The whole idea of organising such a league was to bring together all the Kashmiris living in Emirates. The networking has worked wonders and the popularity of the league has been on the rise ever since it is being played (2016).

The Kashmir Super League has gained popularity back here in the Valleys because approximately 52 unemployed Kashmiri youth on a visitor Visa in Dubai has landed up with jobs there. This is solely because of this tournament.

Apparently Dubai’s telecom company – du currently has 165 Kashmiri employees and through this tournament, more opportunities are being created. This is something that has never happened before.

Indian cricketer from Kashmir Parvez Rasool also heaved praises on the Kasmhir SuperLeague. The off spinner from Kashmir felt that they should bring in some popular names so that they get more exposure in the future editions.

The tournament is set in the IPL format. There are 51 matches in all and 13 have already been played. The final of the tournament will be played on March 24. All the matches are played at the Ajman Oval Stadium, which is 30 km away from Dubai.
