A woman has filed a police complaint, claiming she faced an attempt to rape at Padi, an outhouse in Chalakudy that originally belonged to late actor Kalabhavan Mani. 

The Chalakkudy police has arrested a youth in connection with the case. The accused allegedly took the woman to Padi after promising her the opportunity to act in a film, and then tried to sexually abuse her, according to a Mathrubhumi report.

The incident happened on April 29. More details on the case are awaited.

Mani used to spend time with his friends at Padi. Some of his friends used to visit the outhouse even after the actor's death.

It is understood that Mani was staying at Padi the day before his death. It was at the outhouse that his condition worsened and he was taken to the hospital.
