Supreme Court will take action against the Kerala High Court justice who threatened and hurled abuses against a police inspector. The Chief Justice of India has ordered a probe into the allegations against
Justice P D Rajan following a complaint that he threatened, hurled abuses and tried to slap a Circle Inspector for allegedly booking a case against a close relative of the Justice.
Justice Rajan is likely to face a probe by a three member committee appointed by the Supreme Court. This will be the first case in the history of Kerala High Court if the apex court orders a probe into the allegation.
P Sreekumar, the Circle Inspector of Mavelikkara police station had complained that the High Court Justice summoned him to the chamber and hurled him with abuses for booking a case against a relative of the Justice. In the complaint to Chief Justice of India, the CI alleged that the High Court Chief Justice refrained from taking action against Justice P D Rajan.
