SC permits PDP leader Madani to attend son's wedding in Thalassery

With the Supreme Court order, PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani can now stay in Kerala from August 1 to 14 The marriage will take place at Thalassery the municipal town hall on August 9 Madani is currently facing trial in the 2008 Bengaluru serial blasts case, which killed one and injured 20 others

The Supreme Court has allowed PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani to visit Kerala to attend his son's wedding on August 9.

The SC granted Madani permission to be at his home state from August 7 to 14, after passing the order on his petition seeking relaxation in his bail conditions. However, the court stated the PDP leader has to pay for his security expenses.

Earlier, an NIA court had permitted Madani time from August 1 to August 7 to visit his ailing parents back home. However, the court rejected his petition seeking a relaxation for 20 days to attend his son's wedding, following which the PDP leader approached the SC.

With the Supreme Court order, Madani can now stay in Kerala from August 1 to 14. The marriage will take place at Thalassery the municipal town hall.

Madani is currently facing trial in the 2008 Bengaluru serial blasts case, which killed one and injured 20 others.
