Dileep granted permission to visit home for performing 'sradham'

Dileep sought a day out from jail to attend the 'sradham' Prosecution said he did not perform the ritual last year Court allowed him to get out of jail on Wednesday to perform the ritual

Angamaly Magistrate Court has allowed Dileep to attend the 'sradham', annual death anniversary rituals, of his father on September 6. The actor can attend the functions being held at home and Aluva Manappuram on Wednesday. 

The actor filed the petition and made the request when he was presented before the court for extending his remand period. The court extended his remand for another 14 days, till September 16. 

However, the prosecution was against the move to grant permission for the actor to get out of jail for a day. The prosecutor objected the petition stating that Dileep does not observe the ritual every year and not even last year. 

The lawyer also produced evidence supporting his claim that the actor was in Thrissur last year on the date. The prosecutor presented documents showing the tower location of actors phone during last year, during the same time. 

However, the court decided to allow the actor to attend the rituals held at both home and Aluva Manappuram from 7 am to 11 am on Wednesday.
