Prisons DIG Pradeep faces inquiry for roaming with TV actress in official vehicle

Prisons DIG B Pradeep is set to face an official inquiry for roaming with a TV actress in Thiruvananthapuram in his official vehicle.

According to reports, Pradeep invited the actress for the jail day celebrations held in the capital on March 12. After the event, he allegedly gave the actress a lift back home in his official vehicle. Pradeep had also claimed Rs 10,000 from the official funds towards the expenses of bringing the actress to the event.

Prisons DGP R Sreelekha ordered the inquiry following an anonymous complaint received at the prison headquarters. It is understood that the Chief Minister's office also received the same complaint.

Though the complaint was an anonymous one, the DGP found the matter genuine and asked the Prisons IG to inquire into the incident and file a report. It has also been alleged that Pradeep used to host several TV actors and actresses at his official residence.
