The deceased has been identified as Dr Naveen Kumar, a Thrissur native, who works at the Palakkad Medical College The minor's car was going at a high speed and was on the wrong side of the road when it collided with the doctor's bike Naveen's wife Dr Jayashree and their infant son, who were riding pillion with him, suffered serious injuries in the accident

In a horrifying incident, a Kerala doctor was killed when a speeding car, driven by a minor, rammed his bike in Palakkad on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Dr Naveen Kumar, a Thrissur native, who works as an assistant professor at the Government Medical College in Palakkad. 

The minor's car was going at a high speed and was on the wrong side of the road when it collided with the doctor's bike. Though Naveen was rushed to a private hospital, he could not be saved.

Naveen's wife Dr Jayashree and their infant son, who were riding pillion with him, suffered serious injuries in the accident, which took place near Chakkanthara around 10 pm on Saturday

The car was driven by a 17-year-old boy. The car, owned by Ottappalam native Sulaiman, was rented to the minor. The police have registered a case against both the boy and Sulaiman.
