The headless body of a man was found chopped to several pieces, packed in a sack and abandoned near a canal by the roadside. The police have intensified search to find the rest of the body.

Local residents found the legs of the body first during a search conducted after foul smell emanated from the area. The locals then informed the police, after which the other part parts were found.

The police have recovered a shirt and saffron mundu from the sack. The body, which is understood to be three days old, has been shifted to a nearby hospital.
