The police have recorded the statement of Malayalam actress Shritha Sivadas in connection with the Kochi actress attack case.

The probe team visited Shritha’s house in Uliyannoor near Kochi on Tuesday and questioned her as she is a close friend of the victim. The police reportedly asked her about the issues between the victim and actor Dileep, who was arrested and remanded on charges of conspiracy behind the attack.

Some reports claim that the victim had visited Shritha's house after the attack on February 17 and opened up about the ordeal. Shritha is understood to have revealed the details she knows about the bad blood between the victim and Dileep and also the attack to the police.

Shritha made her acting debut with Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon starrer Ordinary back in 2012. She got married to Dubai-based software engineer Deepak Nambiar in 2014.

The police had recently questioned actor Siddique, director VA Shrikumar Menon and few others from the film industry in connection with the actress attack case.
