A Kerala woman, who was working as a nurse in Noida, committed suicide at her home by taking a lethal injection.

Rakesh Kumar Singh, in-charge of the Sector 39 police station, said that Rimia injected herself with poison at her house in Sadarpur colony on Tuesday. The body has been sent for post-mortem, Singh stated.

It is understood that she was under severe mental stress, though the reasons are not known at this point.

In another case reported from Noida, an FIR was lodged at the Sector 49 police station against a 14-year-old boy for sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl. The police said that medical examination has not confirmed rape.

The accused denied the charge but admitted that he had touched the girl's body, said Bijendra Singh Bhadana, in-charge of the Sector 49 police station. Bhadana said that since the accused is also a minor, he would be sent to a remand home and further investigation would follow.
