Actress and Dileep's wife Kavya Madhavan has finally spoken up about her much-talked about fall-out with the victim of the Kochi actress attack.
Several Mollywood celebrities had come out in support of the actress since the attack happened back in February but Kavya chose to maintain silence regarding the case altogether.
This statement by Kavya Madhavan may land Dileep in trouble
However, when questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) at Dileep’s ancestral house in Aluva on Tuesday, Kavya was forced to broach the subject. She admitted of being friends with the assaulted actress for years and the eventual bad blood.
“We knew each other for the past 14 years or so. We were good friends once and have done several stage shows together. But gradually that friendship fell apart,” reports quoted Kavya as telling SIT.
However, Kavya hesitated to reveal more details about her fall-out with the assaulted actress to the SIT, citing it as a purely personal issue.
6-hour police grilling, questions on Dileep's behaviour leave Kavya Madhavan in tears: reports
It is understood that the victim of the Kochi attack had informed Manju Warrier about Dileep and Kavya's closeness, back when the actor was married to Manju. Several reports claim Dileep believes the assaulted actress played a major role in Manju's decision to walk out of their marriage, and the alleged "quotation" given to Pulsar Suni to attack her was born out of a grudge the actor held for years.
Dileep was arrested on charges of conspiracy in the attack on July 10 and is currently lodged at the Aluva sub-jail.
