Nehru College stops Jishnu protestors from writing exams

It seems Pampady Nehru College Management is not done with their rivalry towards Jishu Pranoy, the BTech student who committed suicide in hostel room following an allegation of copying at the exam. The management has denied the opportunity for Jishnu's friends to attend board exams. 

The board exams will be held by the end of June, and the college authorities have denied permission for 65 first year Pharmacy students, stating lack of attendance and internal marks. The management is taking a similar stance with second and third-semester scholars, who took part in protests demanding justice for Jishnu. 

The students had raised similar allegations against the management earlier. They had alleged that the authorities did not allow protesting students to enter college hostel. 

The suicide of Jishnu Pranoy had led to an outrage and students belonging to various outfits clashed with police and vandalised college office and classrooms. 

The police initially considered the case as a suicide, but when the incident created an outrage, a case was registered for the suspicious death. Jishnu's friends and family members had alleged that he committed suicide owing to mental and physical harassment by college authorities. A case had been registered against five persons including college staff and Nehru group chairman P K Krishnadas.
