Popular American TV host Jimmy Kimmel retweets Mohanlal's Jimikki Kammal

It seems 'Jimikki Kammal', the song from Mohanlal starrer 'Velipadinte Pusthakam' is becoming quite a sensation, not only in India but across the world. However, it became famous not only as a film song but also due to the dance performed to its tunes by Sheril Army, a Kerala girl.

The tweet of American television host, writer, producer and comedian Jimmy Kimmel proves that the song and her dance has crossed borders. 

The American TV host took note of the song after a Twitter user sent the dance video of Sheril Army to him. A twitter user brought to his notice the similarity between 'Jimikki Kammal' and 'Jimmy Kimmel' along with the video of a group of girls dancing to the song.

The popular anchor retweeted saying he hadn't heard it until now, but he loved it.

Most users failed to understand why he liked the song and one even suggested to telecast in his show.

It seems after Oviya Army Sheril Army from Kerala is becoming the new sensation not only in Tamil Nadu and other states but her fame has crossed borders to reach the USA.

Going by the comments received to Kimmel's Tweet it is clear that not many are aware of the fact that it is a film song and Sheril was just dancing to its tunes. 

 

 

The song from 'Velipadinte Pusthakam' was composed by Shaan Rahman and was sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan.
