Synopsis

An actress filed a complaint against the director, actor and two technicians They were alleged to have made lewd comments against actress on demanding payment Police opposed the anticipatory bail plea in court

Honey Bee 2 director Jean Paul Lal and actor Sreenath Bhasi was granted anticipatory bail in a case registered against them based on a complaint given by an actress. They were booked for allegedly making lewd comments against the actress, for using body dupe in the film without seeking her permission and for refusing remuneration. 

Film technicians Anirudh and Anoop were also booked under the same case under Sections 354 (A), for making sexual remarks, and 420, cheating, of the Indian Penal Code.

An actress had complained that she did not get remuneration for acting in Honey Bee 2 and when she asked for the money the director and others made lewd remarks against her. She also alleged that a body double was used in the film without her permission.

However, the actress later said that she had settled the issues with the director and others, but the police stated that it is a criminal case which cannot be resolved out-of court as such an act will set a dangerous precedent.

The court granted bail even though police objected to it.
