Emergency meeting called by Kerala CM to end police slavery

The purpose of this is to discuss the alleged police slavery in the department, especially after the case of the ADGP's daughter reportedly injuring the police driver surfaced. .


A high-level meeting at the police headquarters about the police slavery will be held under the leadership of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

Cops across ranks - from the sub-inspector of police to the DGP - will take part in the meeting. The purpose of this is to discuss the alleged police slavery in the department, especially after the case of the ADGP's daughter reportedly injuring the police driver surfaced. .

 

Sources say that the police policy of the Left government should be implemented and will be discussed in the meeting. The recruitment of the police camp followers should be done through PSC. The recruitment report was given to the PSC council in 2011, but couldn't be formulated through special rules. PSC couldn't do the recruitments. When the special rules regulation come, then all the recruitments will be through PSC, according to sources.
