He sought a day out to attend 'sradham', the rituals associated with the annual death anniversary, of his father.
The death anniversary of actor's father falls on September 6.
The actor made the plea while he was produced before court for extending his parole period. Dileep attended court procedure by way of video conferencing.
Angamaly Magistrate Court extended his remand period till September 16.
