In a clear case of apathy of authorities, parts of dead bodies, which were used for research at the anatomy lab of Kozhikode Medical College, have been found abandoned in a nearby playground.

Crows and dogs were scavenging on the body parts when they were found by children who were playing at the ground on Tuesday morning. Locals and people's representatives alleged the bodies were not cremated properly, and that the Medical College authorities have disrespected the bodies.

Police and health department authorities examined the spot and informed that a case will be filed against the Medical College for not burying the bodies properly. Several politicians, including MLAs, also reached the place and held discussions with the Medical College authorities.

The bodies given to the Medical College are supposed to be cremated together after the completion of research but as it turned out, some of the bodies were not cremated or buried properly this time.
