The bribery allegation against Kerala BJP leaders in the Medical College allotment scam is likely to be taken over by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
There are reports that the investigation agency has informed government that they are ready to conduct inquiry along with other complaints regarding counselling and allotment to medical seats.
However, the government has not mentioned anything about CBI probe till now, and it is not possible to hand over the case to the agency without reference from the state.
Meanwhile, party central leadership has asked state leadership to take stern action against those facing allegations. The new allegation has made central leadership, which was already unhappy with the internal dissensions in party state unit, even more angry.
According to reports, central leadership has asked state leadership to expel all those who were pin pointed in the Vigilance probe without considering their profile.
National leaders are anxious over the repercussions such an allegation is likely to create in the state where it rests huge hopes for next elections. The decision will be taken after a report filed by BJP national joint secretary (organisation) B L Santosh, who is in charge of Kerala.
