Kochi: Man Held For Scamming People With Fake Europe Job Offers! Read On

Police have finally caught a serial scammer who cheated many people across Kerala with fake European job offers. The accused allegedly lured job seekers with promises of overseas employment and collected money from victims before disappearing.

Kochi: Police have arrested a man wanted in multiple visa fraud cases across Kerala. Perumbavoor police caught 38-year-old Albin P James, a native of Koorachundu in Kozhikode.

He took money from two Perumbavoor locals after promising them jobs in Germany and Ireland. The accused ran a massive scam where he offered fake jobs in European countries and looted money from job seekers. He went into hiding when the investigation started. But the police finally tracked him down using scientific investigation methods.

He has around 25 cases registered against him. Perumbavoor ASP Hardik Meena formed a special investigation team to catch him. The team included Perumbavoor SHO Akshay Kumar, SIs Martin Joseph and S.L. Arjun, ASIs M.B. Zubair and K.K. Sreeja, and CPO M.M. Shafeeq. The police produced him in court, and the magistrate remanded him. Now, the police are checking if he is involved in more fraud cases and if anyone else helped him run this scam.
